WebPe@rl (“us”, “we”, or “our”) operates the mobile application BugOff (the “App”). This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of data when you use our App.
By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
1. In-App Purchases and Third-Party Services (Adapty)
To handle in-app purchases, validate promotional codes (such as VIP access), and monitor app stability, the App uses third-party services. These services collect specific technical data over encrypted connections (HTTPS):
- Adapty (Adapty Tech Inc.): To manage premium access and promo codes, Adapty processes:
- Purchase History / Transaction Overview: To verify if your premium/VIP status is active.
- Device and Other IDs: A pseudonymous identifier generated to link the purchase status to your specific device.
- Diagnostics and Crash Logs: To monitor, identify, and resolve technical issues or failures within the purchase process in real-time.
- Google Play Services: Used for technical functionalities and distribution. Google may collect technical data from your device (such as your operating system type).
2. Camera Access
To scan food products or barcodes in the supermarket, the App requires access to your device’s camera.
- Purpose: The camera is used solely to scan the barcode or the ingredients list of a product, allowing the App to check if insects are used as ingredients.
- Data Storage: The camera feed is processed live. No photos, videos, or other scan data are stored permanently on your device or on our servers.
3. Data Minimization and Local Storage
We highly value your privacy.
- Local Storage: The App does not store any personal user data or personal settings locally on your device.
- Personal Data: We do not collect any directly identifiable personal data (such as your name, email address, or phone number) when you use the App.
4. Advertising Banners
The App may display advertisement banners to support development. These third-party networks (such as Google AdMob) may use pseudonymous identifiers (like your device’s advertising ID) to serve relevant ads.
5. Children’s Privacy
Our App does not collect directly identifiable personal data and is safe to use by people of all ages, including children under the age of 13.
6. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the “Last updated” date at the top of this policy.

WebPe@rl (“wij”, “ons” of “onze”) beheert de mobiele applicatie BugOff / Insectenscanner (de “App”). Deze pagina informeert u over ons beleid met betrekking tot het verzamelen, het gebruik en de bescherming van gegevens wanneer u onze App gebruikt.
Door de App te gebruiken, gaat u akkoord met het verzamelen en gebruiken van informatie in overeenstemming met dit beleid.
1. In-App Aankopen en Diensten van Derden (Adapty)
Voor het aanbieden, beheren en valideren van in-app aankopen en promotionele aanbiedingen (zoals VIP-toegang via promotiecodes) en het bewaken van de app-stabiliteit, maakt de App gebruik van diensten van derden. Deze diensten verwerken specifieke technische gegevens via beveiligde verbindingen (HTTPS):
- Adapty (Adapty Tech Inc.): Voor het beheren van premiumtoegang en promotiecodes verwerkt Adapty:
- Transactieoverzicht / Aankoopgeschiedenis: Om te controleren of uw premium/VIP-status actief is.
- Apparaat- of andere ID’s: Een pseudonieme identificatiecode om de aankoopstatus veilig te koppelen aan uw specifieke toestel.
- Diagnostische gegevens en crashlogboeken: Om technische fouten of storingen in het betaalproces realtime op te sporen en op te lossen.
- Google Play Services: Gebruikt voor technische functionaliteiten en de distributie van de App. Google kan bepaalde technische gegevens van uw apparaat verzamelen (zoals het type besturingssysteem).
2. Toegang tot de camera
Om voedingsmiddelen of barcodes in de supermarkt te kunnen scannen, heeft de App toegang nodig tot de camera van uw apparaat.
- Doel: De camera wordt uitsluitend gebruikt om de barcode of de ingrediëntenlijst van een product te scannen, zodat de App kan controleren of er insecten in het product zijn verwerkt.
- Gegevensopslag: De camerabeelden worden direct live verwerkt. Er worden geen foto’s, video’s of andere scangegevens permanent lokaal op uw apparaat of op onze servers opgeslagen.
3. Dataminimalisatie en Lokale Opslag
Wij hechten grote waarde aan uw privacy.
- Lokale opslag: De App slaat geen persoonlijke gebruikersgegevens of persoonlijke instellingen lokaal op uw apparaat op.
- Persoonsgegevens: Wij verzamelen geen direct herleidbare persoonsgegevens (zoals uw naam, e-mailadres of telefoonnummer) wanneer u de App gebruikt.
4. Advertentiebanners
De App kan advertentiebanners tonen om de ontwikkeling te ondersteunen. Deze netwerken van derden (zoals Google AdMob) kunnen pseudonieme identificatiegegevens gebruiken (zoals de advertentie-ID van uw apparaat) om relevante advertenties te tonen.
5. Privacy van kinderen
Onze App verzamelt geen direct herleidbare persoonsgegevens en is veilig te gebruiken door personen van alle leeftijden, inclusief kinderen jonger dan 13 jaar.
6. Wijzigingen in dit Privacybeleid
Wij kunnen ons privacybeleid van tijd tot tijd bijwerken. Wij zullen u op de hoogte stellen van eventuele wijzigingen door het nieuwe privacybeleid op deze pagina te plaatsen en de datum “Laatst bijgewerkt” bovenaan dit beleid aan te passen.
